手机大约在八几年开始使用，但只是使用在一些大城市中比较富裕的'有钱人家和一些有特别需要的人。到了九几年手机开始普遍化、大重化、流行化，而不只是局限于个别的人。青年人、中年人、老年人都可以拥有自己的手机，甚至手机在一些学生中都拥有一定的低位、受到一定的青睐。手机的功能也随着时间的发展、社会的进步而越来广泛。一开始只能用于通电话、发短信，渐渐地我们可以用手机听音乐、玩游戏。而现在的手机除了那些简单的功能以外还加入了现代化元素，除了手机可以看电视以外还可以上网、上QQ还可以与别人视频通话聊天。如此可见手机在人们日常中的地位与需求。
